Marcia Ashong

Marcia holds a Master of Laws degree in Energy Law and Policy the University of Dundee; a bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Exeter, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Minnesota. She is also a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), and member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). In 2016 she founded Brace Energy and TheBoardroom Africa. Marcia has a wide scope of professional experience in the international petroleum industry, having worked on the World Bank's EI Sourcebook initiative, and later holding various positions in international oil service companies spanning four continents, with her most recent being Country Manager of Cote d'Ivoire for Baker Hughes. She's a consultant in the energy sector and has, among others advised on the effectiveness of the Norwegian oil for development program in Ghana.
